Hello there! Yesterday I journeyed to The Stoltzfus Amish Farmers Market on the Black Horse Pike, right before the Lake Ave. traffic light.
If you’ve never visited the Amish Farmers Market, you’re missing out. If you do decide to go, pull around to the back of the building. There’s no entrance in the front of the building.
When you first walk in, it hits you – the delicious smell of homemade food. The sweet smell of baked pies, bread, cakes, candy apples, and the mouth watering aroma of chicken, ribs, and sausage instantly fills your nostrils.
There is also a wide variety of spices, herbs, jams, and jarred peaches and other fruits.
Don’t forget the meat you’ll need for dinner tonight, or maybe for the holidays.
If you can manage to keep your hunger at bay, you’ll notice there’s more to the farmers market than food. There are dozens of small stores, tightly lined up next to each other. One of the most popular furniture stores is Emma-Jean’s, Ltd.
Most stores are themed. Some of the items sold are handmade furniture, dollhouses, quilts, candles, and draperies.
Whatever you are looking for, you’re bound to find something interesting at the farmers market!
